Garden parasols are an essential item to have in any garden. They can afford a good deal of shade when the sun is out, and also make it possible to remain sitting outside in a light shower.

Buying a new garden parasol is always exciting. With so many different ones to choose from it can be difficult to narrow the choice down to just one. But when you do you will want to take good care of it. The best way to do this is to clean it regularly.

We all know how great – or not so great – the great British summer can be. Yes we’ll undoubtedly get some lovely sunny days but we’ll also be in for some showers and not so hot weather.

The unseasonably warm weather has certainly got everyone in the UK talking. March wasn’t a bad month by any stretch, and England managed to enjoy the warmest April ever recorded. It also ranked very highly in terms of sunshine and the lack of rain. Of course most gardeners will be praying for some rain by now, but you cannot deny that we’re all enjoying the weather and hoping it will continue – for a while at least.

There is nothing better than the ability to start enjoying the first lot of good weather to come your way every year. No matter where you live or what size rear garden you have, you can always make the most of it.

A garden parasol is chiefly designed to protect us from direct sunlight. We would normally position it in the middle of a garden table, so we can sit round it and stay in the shade at the same time.

It may still be pretty cold outside at the moment, but if you look out into the garden you are likely to see the first green shoots of the daffodils and other plants poking through the soil. Soon it will be spring, and that will be followed by warmer and longer days. This in turn means you will be able to start getting out into the garden and enjoying the outdoors again.

Think about it for a moment – is it possible? We all tend to look at our gardens and assume we can’t do a lot to change them. We can add things or change things that are quite basic – for instance we could buy a new garden parasol or perhaps a whole new table and chairs for outdoors.
