If you have a nice garden table and chairs with a parasol, the chances are you love to sit outside and use them all through the summer whenever you get the chance to do so. It is even nice to sit outside and enjoy an al fresco meal and watch the sun go down when it is warm enough to do so. But of course you do need some source of lighting to be able to do this, otherwise you will find yourself eating in the dark.

Most people have a garden parasol if they have a table and chairs in their garden. But most of them have just the one. Is this a good idea or does it pay to have a spare one as well?

When we talk about garden parasols we are really talking about two distinct things –the parasol itself and the base. You cannot just buy a parasol as it won’t be weighted down if it gets windy, and it won’t stand straight either. You need the base to make sure the whole thing is secure.

Ironically it could well be. You see, the last thing anyone wants to buy at this time of year is a garden parasol. And because of this some retailers find they have plenty left over after the summer rush. It doesn’t make sense to have all that stock sitting around throughout the winter. Stock costs money to store and the longer it sits around the more money it costs the retailer.

If you have already started browsing through the large collection of garden parasols that are available today, you will have noticed they come in various colours as well as sizes.

We all hanker for those really sunny days of summer that seem to go on forever. But although we might love the sun we need to be conscious of getting burnt as well. Sunburn is not pleasant and if we get caught out we can suffer the consequences long after the sun has gone down.

Lots of people have a garden parasol to use with their garden table and chairs. But they don’t always get the best use out of it that they could. For example, they might regularly sit outside and use the table and chairs to enjoy an al fresco meal in the evenings. This is wonderful as the warm summer days start to cool down, making the evening times more enjoyable than the days on occasion!

It is wonderful to have a lot of choices when it comes to buying a garden parasol. But sometimes those choices can be rather overwhelming.

This is particularly true when it comes to colour. The most traditional colour parasol you can get is a plain green one. This tends to be a plain mossy green colour, and it suits most gardens well. This is probably why it is the most frequently seen colour of all. It blends well with the background of greenery in the garden, and as such it won’t stick out and be hugely noticeable.
