Do You Need More Than One Garden Parasol?

Friday January 15, 2010

Most people have a garden parasol if they have a table and chairs in their garden. But most of them have just the one. Is this a good idea or does it pay to have a spare one as well?

It can be a good idea to have a spare if you have somewhere to store it. While garden parasols of all kinds can be left out in all weathers, it isn’t a good idea to do so. They are more likely to age faster and deteriorate, and they may also blow over and cause damage if the weather gets very nasty.

In this case having a spare is good because if the weather gets better again and you need one, you have one already to hand. But there are better reasons why you should have a spare as well. Not all garden parasols are designed to be used with a table and chairs, so you could get two entirely different ones to make use of.

Think about those occasions when you want to enjoy another part of your garden for example. You don’t always want to sit around the table when you are outside. But you don’t want to be in the sun either.

In this case a freestanding garden parasol is the best bet. You can position it anywhere because it doesn’t require a table to help hold it up. It comes with its own stand, so as long as you place it on an even bit of ground you can use it anywhere you have the room for it. This can be a lot more versatile as a result, and you may well benefit from having the option to use more of your garden.

You could even use it to help shelter you from the sun when you have to do some gardening. It is quite possible to get a nasty sunburn while you are weeding the beds, but if you are covered with this parasol you can rest assured you will be safe.

So if you are thinking it might be a good idea to invest in a second parasol for your garden, why not consider getting this one? There is no better time to look for one than in the New Year sales, so take a look now. There might just be a good bargain out there with your name on it!
