Get Ready for your New Garden Parasol

Thursday April 14, 2011

There is nothing better than the ability to start enjoying the first lot of good weather to come your way every year. No matter where you live or what size rear garden you have, you can always make the most of it.

This is especially the case if you have a garden that is big enough for a garden table and parasol. You can look forward to many lunches out there and many occasions to have a good time and enjoy the good weather.

But you should remember that winters can be long and if it has been a while since you have been out in the garden, it may need some TLC before you can go out there and enjoy it properly. Even if you don’t need to do any planting or weeding, you will still very likely have to focus on making sure your patio area is set up and usable.

For starters, move everything out of the way and have a good sweep. This alone can have a marked effect on how good your patio area will look. You can then move your table back into place and arrange the chairs around it. Remember to put the base for your garden parasol into place before you put all the chairs back, otherwise you might have trouble trying to fit it through the gaps!

Even if you have a parasol already it is quite a good idea to decide whether you want a new one. No parasol lasts forever and if your existing one has been around for a few years it may be ripe for replacing. Think about the colour you would like to have and consider whether you want a like for like replacement or something completely different.

Another good thing to consider is to get some lights or other items to use with your parasol. You can get solar powered ones if you wish, or ones that need to be plugged in. In addition you can get semi circular tea light holders that fit around the pole of your parasol, to bring a little mood lighting to the proceedings.

What could be better than that?
