Is Winter The Best Time Of Year To Buy A Garden Parasol?

Thursday November 12, 2009

Ironically it could well be. You see, the last thing anyone wants to buy at this time of year is a garden parasol. And because of this some retailers find they have plenty left over after the summer rush.

It doesn’t make sense to have all that stock sitting around throughout the winter. Stock costs money to store and the longer it sits around the more money it costs the retailer.

So they are actually better off selling summer items at a much lower price than they would be hoping they will sell them at full price next year. Of course they will have less of a profit margin by doing this, but it keeps the cash flow going in the right direction.

Not all stores and websites will have items such as this on sale. But it is definitely worth looking because you could find you can save a lot of money by doing so. Look in their sale section rather than for garden parasols specifically; it might reveal some of the best deals. And if you can’t find anything initially don’t give up – some sites aren’t the easiest ones to navigate, so if you use the search feature you might get more luck.

One thing to bear in mind if you want to get a discounted garden parasol is that you won’t have the choice you would normally have. All the most popular designs will already have sold out, so you need to be a little less choosy if you want to get a great bargain.

Make sure too that you can get a parasol base for the one you spot. Sometimes these will be on sale too in order to get rid of the last few, so do a search for those as well. You might end up having to buy both bits from separate stores or websites, but you can still find some good bargains by doing this.

When you are looking for the best deal make sure you save any web pages or options you find so that you can come back to them. It is worth doing all the research on all the sites that have discounted parasols on them before deciding what you will buy. If you do you will undoubtedly find just what you want for your needs, and your garden will look lovely come next spring.
