If you have ever looked at the Heals website before you will know that it is focused clearly on designer and modern furniture. This includes items for the garden as well as for the home, so if you are looking for a garden parasol that is a little bit different then you should definitely take a look at what they have to offer you. How do I find their website?

How can I find the range of garden parasols they sell?
It is quite easy. Click on the ‘outdoor’ link that appears over on the right hand side of the menu bar. This brings up all the different sub-sections within that department, each one illustrated by a single item.
You should see a section for parasols on the right hand side of the site; click on that and you will be taken through to http://www.heals.co.uk/Outdoor/Parasols/icat/parasols&bklist=icat,4,shop,outdoor,parasols.
Do they have plenty of garden parasols for sale?
The answer is actually no – the selection is very minimal and in fact when we visited there was only one garden parasol for sale. They also had a base to go with it that they were selling separately.
Clearly the range depends on what they have available, and as they only sell designer and modern parasols they do not have a regular and traditional range as you would see elsewhere. The one they did have for sale was actually very colourful, so you should always expect something a little bit different!
Is there a lot of useful information on their site?
Yes the site is very user friendly and easy to use. When you get through to the right section you will find that each product is well presented with a good picture of it on the main results page. There is little else except for the title of the item and the price. You need to go through to the product page to read more information, although you can order directly from the results page if you want to.
This includes a much better picture of the garden parasol. Underneath the price at the top you can see how long it will take before the item is delivered. This rough idea is a very good point to note about this page, as you will know how long the waiting time is for it. A rough idea of the delivery charge is also listed underneath this.
The description panel is minimal but it contains all the information you really need. This includes information on whether it has been treated to resist the weather and rain. The dimensions of the parasol are also listed here.
The next tab along is labelled details and this will tell you what the parasol is made from, as well as giving you a brief care guide on how to look after it. The final tab of the three provided is for reviews, but as you will see, not all products have been given reviews at this point. It is worth having a quick look just in case though.
Right at the bottom of the website there are countless links through to other departments you may find of use. The ‘ordering online’ section and the ‘customer service’ section are both the most worthwhile to have a look at. These will answer any other questions you might have about – look for the FAQs section in particular. This should be of use to you.
How easy is it to order my new garden parasol online?
There are two buttons on the product page – one that says ‘buy now’ and one that says ‘add to basket’. We would recommend using the latter button so you can carry on looking round until you are ready to order.
However if you select the ‘buy now’ button it does not commit you to anything. It just gives you the chance to go straight to your shopping basket and then proceed to the checkout from there. The top of this page has a number of relevant links which give you access to the help pages about delivery charges and so on.
In conclusion
Heals is a good place to go for a designer garden parasol that is very different from the rest. Their selection may be tiny but it still has the power to impress. Why not take a look in case they have just what you are looking for?
